Batang Pinoy reset

In deference to the tragedy that befell Eastern Visayas, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) has reset the Batang Pinoy National Finals in February.

Commissioner Jose Luis Gomez made this announcement yesterday in a hastily-called press conference.

“I met my staff and we arrived with a unanimous decision to reschedule the competition next year to give the people in the Visayas fully recover from tragedy,” said Gomez.

Also shelved is the Association of National Olympic Committee (ANOC) conference slated late this month in Boracay, Aklan. (Clyde Mariano)
